Bathroom Makeover – DIY with Glidden

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Glidden. All opinions are 100% mine. After deciding on the new bathroom light and a design plan, I received this Glidden opportunity… Perhaps this was a bathroom makeover omen. On the other hand, maybe it was a blessing on my decision to DIY. Either way I am excited!

We frequently use Glidden Paints and are very happy with their products. In addition, Home Depot is only a mile away and hubby has an account there. With thirty days to pay, I can stretch the bathroom makeover budget even further.

As I said in my previous post, the bathroom design plan is to sponge paint with yellow and white over the blue base to vanity height. The blue paint is similar to Steele Blue and a Glidden product I might add.

In June, Glidden launched the “Glidden Paint, Get Color, Give Color Giveaway” for a chance to win incredibly helpful paint testers. These testers come complete with a brush in the lid and are great for touching up scratches. Even though I did not win, the testers are inexpensive and the perfect way to try out a combination of colors. Mistakes are costly and having to buy extra paint due to an error would not be feasible for me. Perhaps paint testers will be my first bathroom makeover purchase, provided I could be that patient!

Glidden Testers ColorChipsThe Glidden.com has countless amazing ideas and I spent quite a bit of time browsing the Top 10 color palettes, particularly the Feels Like Home colors. Subsequently, I browsed the main color palettes in the Room Painter. Oh my, the flip the chip feature is awesome! Pick a color and click the card, it flips and shows you a three color combo. The ability to view the base color full screen is an incredible tool. One could plan an entire project before ever leaving the house. It appears Marshmallow White and Early Morning Sun are the two chosen sponge paint colors. Finally, I flipped through Glidden Colour Futures Magazine found under the inspiration menu. I was not surprised to learn the colors I chose model a “Free Spirit” motif, which is definitely me.

It is no wonder Glidden boasts, “Paint with colors that reflect who you are!” Watch @Glidden_Paint on Twitter for fun tweets too!
