Creamy Gourmet-Style Chicken Recipe

This simple chicken dish, prepared in approximately 40 minutes, delivers a gourmet flavor without a gourmet price tag. Using the less expensive bone-in chicken breasts provides for an economical, healthy meal. Boneless chicken breast can also be used and is equally delicious. In both cases, the chicken pieces are pleasantly moist inside while retaining a lovely golden brown exterior. Inexpensive white cooking wine transforms the cream soup base into a gourmet-flavored sauce. Creamy Gourmet Chicken 5 chicken breasts, bone in, skin removed salt and pepper to taste 1 onion, sliced thin 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup white cooking wine, divided 1/2 soup can of 2% milk 1. Mission Foods – Mexican Chicken Lasagna Recipe

Mission Foods – Mexican Chicken Lasagna Recipe

I find Mexican food irresistible so I jumped at the chance to write this post!  This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Mission Foods. All opinions are 100% mine. Mission tortillas are my favorite brand without doubt. The tortillas, both corn and flour, are always fresh. Moreover, they are far more flavorful than any other brand I have used. I have a story and a recipe to share however, a few facts about Mission Foods first. My personal favorite, Mission Flour Tortillas, contain 0 grams trans fat per serving and are cholesterol free. The home-style flour tortillas are the type I like to use most however with hubby’s diet, the extra thin corn tortillas work better. The have less calories and fat, again with no trans fats. The serving size is two tortillas. Mission Foods kicked off summer with the Mission Menus Challenge. On June 28, 2010, Chef Sara Moulton encouraged consumers to submit their...

National Eat Your Vegetables Day

National Eat Your Vegetables Day

Did you know that today is National Eat Your Veggies day? According to Practically Edible dot com, the holiday came about on the front lawn of the White House. National Eat Your vegetables day falls in the middle of National Fruit and Vegetable Month, officially named by Hillary Clinton on June 23, 1994. The goal of this holiday is to eat a vegetable with every meal as well as consuming vegetables as a snack during the day. My youngest son is a vegetable lover and has been since his toddler years. One very humorous veggie incident I will never forget came about when he was about two years old. After making the morning coffee, I proceeded to prepare the daily lunches. Upon opening, the vegetable draw I found one of the big beautiful green peppers had a toddler sized mouth impression missing from the side. The vision of that tiny mouth print made me laugh aloud. Of course, I...
