Oh, I am sooo excited about this giveaway! You all know how I love to cook and being among the first to prepare and taste a new dish, Woo Hooo! Here’s a sample of the email I received from My Blog Spark, “… Enjoy cooking a sophisticated, restaurant-quality meal in the comfort of your own home. Each variety includes vibrant and flavorful sauces along with specialty ingredients like sweet basil, white wine and dried tomatoes. Delicious dinners that allow you to keep a healthy lifestyle without sacrificing taste, Good Earth dry dinner kits are perfect for whipping up a no-fail, five-star cuisine in less than 30 minutes.100% whole grain, no trans fat, no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives, no MSG – just add meat and, voila! Dinner is served…”
At this point I was thinking, Oh yeah count me in!
The message went on to explain the gift pack, “We will send you a Good Earth gift pack that includes a Good Earth Mediterranean Chicken dry dinner kit, two sets of bamboo flatware, two bamboo dishes, a bamboo utility board and a 100% recyclable grocery tote. Additionally, we will provide you with another Good Earth gift pack to offer as a giveaway to one of your readers. “
An immediate YES response was sent!

Gift Pack
Isn’t the table setting lovely? My favorite item is the utility board. It found a home next to the stove top, works out very nicely. In addition, all of the bamboo pieces are dishwasher safe, imagine that!
Good Earth
Coming to stores this June, dry dinner kits in four delectable meals: Mediterranean Chicken with angel hair pasta, Spicy Citrus Glazed Shrimp with angel hair pasta, Herb Crusted Chicken with mushroom risotto and Tuscan Chicken with penne pasta.

Meal preparation
Originally, I planned to prepare the Good Earth Mediterranean dinner kit with chicken. After reading the chef’s notes on the box, I decided to go with pork. Other than using pork, I followed the instructions exactly. {Those of you who read my food blog know that is totally out of character for me to not to put a redkathy spin on the meal.} I have to say, I was a bit skeptical about the kit when I first started preparing it. The aroma from the seasoning pack was strong and unidentifiable. I thought aloud, “This doesn’t smell so good, I hope it doesn’t taste like that!” My father laughed replying, “The smell doesn’t matter as long as it tastes good.” The pork was perfect! The meal in no way tasted like it came from a box; having no artificial flavors, no artificial preservatives, no MSG obviously made the difference. The flavors were truly Mediterranean; Pork medallions seasoned with herbs and spices atop wheat pasta, which is included, covered by a creamy and rich sauce. As a rule, I do not serve ready made meals and rarely use dinner kits. I believe ready made meals, when eaten regularly, are very unhealthy. Good Earth is now the exception to my rule!

Ooh, tough call between the Mediterranean chicken and Tuscan chicken! (I’m not a fan of shrimp or mushrooms, so I can rule out those two.) I think I’d take your recommendation and try the Mediterranean chicken.
Thanks for the chance to win!
