Ok here we go – Christmas is right around the corner so I thought I’d share this great holiday shopping contest with you.

Twittermoms has teamed up with Staples to expose the great savings Staples has to offer this year. Twittermoms are sharing their Christmas shopping expertise ! Read tips for saving time and money from moms around the blog sphere. Be one of the first fifty moms to post your holiday saving tips for a chance to win a $25.00 Staples gift card.

My personal gifting tips are homemade. These gift ideas are perfect if your budget is tight.

- For those who sew, make a patchwork apron from remnants with a front pocket for that little girl who loves to help in the kitchen . Then fill the pocket with a collection of children recipes on 3 x 5 cards.

- If food is your forte, whip up some rocky road candy and fill the back of a plastic toy dump truck for that special little boy in your family. Fill jars with the ingredients for bean soup, muffins, or cakes. Decorate with ribbons and bows. Use a 3 x 5 card for the recipe tag.

- Have lots of family pictures? Make a scrap book for each family. Start with a theme, like the year, or holidays. Use a small note book, mount a picture and adding your memory of the event. Then leave room for them to jot down their memories about the picture. Decorate the cover with fabric scraps, your children artwork from school, or ribbons. You can buy the note books at Staples for just 2.79.

I love all of those ideas. I did everything on a budget, but had fun. I watched deals and did photobooks for everybody of Cole, all I did was pay shipping handling and some I got free by wathcing deals.

    It was fun!!
