Tabasco Original Red – Kick up the flavor!

Tabasco Original Red – Kick up the flavor!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine. TABASCO® Original Red is one of my favorite sauces; fellow foodie bloggers as well as my family will attest to that. I use Tabasco sauces in numerous marinade recipes, for enhancing vegetable casseroles, as well as to kick up the flavor and heat of red beans and rice. It is no wonder the company tag line reads, “TABASCO® Original Red, “So Much More Than Hot.” Like spicy chicken? Try coating chicken thighs in Tabasco Red mixed with a bit of Honey Dijon Dressing, dredge in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour, and bake. The result is a crispy oven fried spicy chicken with just a hint of sweet. Plus avoid the fat and hassle of frying chicken! As for buffalo chicken wings, oh my gosh Tabasco Original Red is so necessary. Did you know just two tablespoons of Tabasco original sauce will...

Tips for cleaning stainless steel cookware

Tips for cleaning stainless steel cookware

Tried-and-true tips for cleaning stainless steel cookware. General Care For daily care, hand-wash stainless steel cookware in hot, soapy water and dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth before storing. Most experts warn against citrus dish detergents or dishwasher cleaning. Removing Tough Stains Water with high calcium content leaves chalky white residue on stainless steel cookware. To remove the residue, fill the pot or pan with 1 part vinegar to three parts water. Bring to a boil, let it cool to the touch, then wash thoroughly with hot, soapy water and dry. Burned-on food is removed by first filling the pan with enough warm, soapy water to cover the mess then allow soaking for one hour. Boil the soapy water for 10 to 15 minutes and allow the water cool to the touch. Immediately scrub with a nylon-scouring pad. Wash again with hot, soapy water, rinse and dry. Repeat for stubborn residue. Use non-abrasive cleanser like Bon Ami Polishing...

New Panko, New Cookbook – Progresso & Chef Chiarello Giveaway

Lemon Pepper Panko

Born of an Italian mother, cooking was a huge part of growing up. The fall season marked the start of home made pasta, soups, and the greatly anticipated holiday feasts. The aroma of fresh bread on a cold Saturday morning or the visions of fresh pasta strung across wooden spoons are tender childhood memories. Mom inspired a passion and zeal for home cooked meals. My Blog Spark sent this offer, “If you’d like to participate in this Spark, we will provide you with a gift pack including one package of Progresso Lemon Pepper Panko and an autographed copy of chef Chiarello’s new cookbook: Michael Chiarello’s Bottega. We will also provide you with an additional gift pack to give away to one of your readers.” Given my history in addition to being a fan of Progresso, Panko breadcrumbs, and Italian food prompted a jubilant yes, yes, and oh my gosh AUTOGRAPHED too, oh YES! Progresso is one of my favorite brands....

Creamy Gourmet-Style Chicken Recipe

This simple chicken dish, prepared in approximately 40 minutes, delivers a gourmet flavor without a gourmet price tag. Using the less expensive bone-in chicken breasts provides for an economical, healthy meal. Boneless chicken breast can also be used and is equally delicious. In both cases, the chicken pieces are pleasantly moist inside while retaining a lovely golden brown exterior. Inexpensive white cooking wine transforms the cream soup base into a gourmet-flavored sauce. Creamy Gourmet Chicken 5 chicken breasts, bone in, skin removed salt and pepper to taste 1 onion, sliced thin 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/2 cup white cooking wine, divided 1/2 soup can of 2% milk 1. Season chicken with salt, pepper to taste. 2. In a large skillet, brown the chicken over medium-high heat. 3. Meanwhile, whisk the soup, remaining wine, and milk in a small bowl. 4. Remove chicken, deglaze pan with 1/4 cup of white...
